Home of the rare Red Kite-their winter feeding farm is nearby at Tregaron a rare spectacle where up to 30 rare wild Kites can be seen. Cardigan Bay is an outstanding and internationally important area for marine wildlife. Designated a Special Area of Conservation, it was the UK’s first Marine Heritage Coast, sheltering some of Britain’s rarest birds and marine species. Home to a resident population of some 130 bottlenose dolphins, porpoise and grey seals. Boat trips offering marvellous opportunities to enjoy the bay’s wildlife are available, especially from New Quay and Aberaeron.
